On January 10, 2022, The second vessel of the six aluminum catamaran wind farm support vessels series is successfully launched constructed by Aulong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for Fujian Offshore Wind Operation and Maintenance Service Co., Ltd. Wu Zhanzhong- deputy general manager of Fujian offshore and Wang Guangrong- general manager of Aulong Shipbuilding and so forth attended the launching ceremony.

Wu Zhanzhong, deputy general manager, said that the series of six aluminum wind farm support vessels built by Aulong is a fairly large batch of shipbuilding projects domestically in recent years. Aulong’s shipbuilding technology is in a leading position in domestic industry, and a number of high-performance aluminum vessels have been built excellently. It is hoped that the two parties will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future and jointly contribute to the development of Chinese wind power industry.

The series of vessels’ are displacement high-speed catamarans equipped two-engine two-propeller and two-rudder and their length overall is 19.99 meters, breadth moulded is 8.4 meters, and depth moulded is 2.8 meters with 12 seating capacity. The speed is greater than 16 knots with great stability and seakeeping ability. They will be mainly used for daily operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms in coastal areas of Fujian and Guangdong province after finished and delivered.
